Deanlee Management – What Residential Projects Have They Completed?
November 29, 2007 by Colleen · 4 Comments
At the last “Secondary Plan” meeting, I was speaking to Hugh Thompson (Deanlee’s inconspicuous representative at our public meetings).? I asked what other residential projects Deanlee Management has worked on.? He stated that this (the Chedoke brow project)?was a different kind of project (not sure of his exact wording).? I took this to mean that Deanlee has not done residential development before.? Is there someone out there that can shed some light on this subject?? The residents in the neighbourhood want to see examples of some of the residential projects they have completed.??? We want to see their portfolio.

I suspect that Deanlee Management is a front for the Chedoke Brow Investors who do not want their names attached to this project.
(A Boiler Room Operation?)
I don’t understand what you are suggesting ??? that some of the Brow residents are the real investors ?? If so, tell us who they are. What is a boiler room operation ?
You are right, I was imprecise.
What I meant, that DM is the umbrella organization for the investors that purchased the Brow properties. (whom ever they may be, and that information is private)
You will not see a resume of DM’s projects completed or ongoing on their website. What you will see, is that DM appears to provide services that are based on municipal and provincial development regulations. In other words, Deanlee are acting as consultants for a group of buyers/developers – they do not do development so they have no development portfolio. Colleen has asked a very good question and one that deserves to be answered – who is really behind this? I guess it would be fair to say that DM is a lobbyist for developers rather then a developer.
So, Deanlee is the public face on the Brow Lands development project, and given the lack of information on their website…. we are left to speculate about what the organization is all about.
As to my glib aside, “A boiler room operation”, in this context, an inexpensive operation setup to sell the scheme of developing the Brow Lands property with high pressure tactics.

dear upside”
Because of your “glib aside ” comments, I called Deanlee and had a long chat with Mr, Star of Deanlee on Tuesday. I really don’t think you know what they do. Or do you ??They are land and planning consultants and developers and, not surprisingly , joint venture partners with builders. Since June of this year, he indicated he had virtually no contact with any of the Browland advocate group, except for a few local residents,a dozen or 14 so far, that wanted to be put on a pre-sale condo list.
Does it really matter to us residents who their corporate partners or investors are ? They probably stay low profile on their website since they don’t have to advertise to the general public.Let’s come up with a sustainable plan that can be defended in front of councill instead of negative attacks.
As a local business owner, any company that has over $1.0 billion in completed projects is not “”an inexpensive operation”"boiler room or whatever. They certainly have my attention and respect and gives me more comfort they will do a good job.
I am looking forward to their info meeting in mid January, then we can get a handle on what they really talking about.
