Thank you for your participation in this process. Your input has been utilized to create the overall community vision for the Chedoke Brow Lands. The public consultation process and the final community plan will be incorporated into City staff’s planning report to Economic Development and Planning Committee on the development applications.
I live in the “Scenic Woods Survey”, just west of this proposed development area. I built and have enjoyed living here for 22 years.
As our survey is properly called “Scenic Woods”, and being the major reason for the joy of living in this area. Part of the “perks” of this area are going for walks/jogs down the rail trail and returning back along the brow to look out over our beautiful city that is transforming and growing in a good way.
Important points to remember !
The “brow” is something that needs to be “SHARED”…….intended road closures, high rises, minimum road access privileges , private access must be avoided.
There is considerable land south mountain towards the Airport that is “needing” to be developed. Affordable townhouses, apartments, one floor single family homes and developments areas southerly would be ideal. I myself am planning to ‘downsize’ and an affordable town or one floor single is on my list.
City Planners have the ability to ruin our escarpment, brow and neighbourhoods. Stop.
